Mission Statement

The Magnet School of Journalism and Multimedia at P.S. 202K will unlock

the infinite potential that exists within each child and the school

community through our love for children. From planning and preparation

to the execution of lessons and extracurriculars, adults will heighten

students’ experiences in an effort to augment their academic, social and

emotional competencies. Through ongoing community partnerships, with

a focus on journalism and multimedia, all stakeholders will continuously

develop and enhance their ability to move students along the continuum

of achievement.
